JENNIFER M. DEUTCH graduated with highest honors from University of Wisconsin-Madison and received her law degree from Vanderbilt University.  In law school, she was honored with the Women's Leadership Scholarship and externed for the Honorable Thomas A. Wiseman, Jr., U.S. District Court Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee.  Prior to entering law school, Ms. Deutch was a special education teacher.  She previously acted as counsel for the United States Coast Guard.  Ms. Deutch is a certified Federal mediator.  Currently, she practices in all areas of school law with a focus in special education and student issues.  Ms. Deutch is the co-author of Ethical Considerations in Settlement Negotiations, a publication of the NSBA Council of School Attorneys, April, 2003.  She is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Missouri.
