LAURA J. RAATJES received her bachelor's degree with distinction in English and secondary education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2006. She graduated magnacum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011, where she was selected as an Honors Scholar, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She also served as a published member and the managing editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. During law school, Ms. Raatjes served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Arlander Keys, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and worked at Hodges, Loizzi as a summer associate. Prior to law school, Ms. Raatjes was a high school teacher for two years. Ms. Raatjes was admitted to practice in 2011 and practices in all areas of school law and municipal law.
