JOHN L. DiJOHN represents school districts and municipalities with a primary concentration on labor, employment and corporate matters.  Mr. DiJohn has represented private sector employers in employment-related litigation including discrimination claims under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Family Medical Leave Act.  Mr. DiJohn also represents private and public entities before administrative agencies including the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Additionally, Mr. DiJohn handles traditional labor matters representing management in unfair labor practice proceedings, union election campaigns, and collective bargaining negotiations.  Mr. DiJohn also counsels management on personnel matters involving employee hiring, termination, discipline and personnel policies to ensure compliance with various state and federal anti-discrimination employment laws, wage and hour laws and leave laws. Mr. DiJohn co-authored the article Bargaining Implications of the No Child Left Behind Act, published in the Illinois Public Employee Relations Report.  Mr. DiJohn graduated from DePaul University and received his law degree in 2001 from Chicago-Kent College of Law where he also earned his certificate in labor and employment law.  During law school Mr. DiJohn was a law clerk at BP Amoco Corporation's labor, employment and benefits department.  He was honored as a Chicago-Kent Merit Scholar and served as a Student Editor of the Illinois Public Employee Relations Report.
