JAY R. KRANING is one of the foremost special education attorneys and a noted statewide speaker. Mr. Kraning has practiced school law for 15 of his 20 years as a lawyer.
Prior to joining the firm in 2003, he served for seven years with the Chicago Board of Education in its Department of Due Process and Mediation, the last six years as Director of that Department. As such, Mr. Kraning was directly involved with or supervised every due process hearing for the Chicago Public Schools, the third largest school district in the nation.
Mr. Kraning graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a B.S. in Education and received his law degree from John Marshall Law School, where he was selected to the Order of John Marshall honorary society and graduated with distinction. In addition to his legal experiences, Mr. Kraning served five years as a public school teacher in Jefferson, Wisconsin. |
