SHAYNE L. ALDRIDGE concentrates his practice in the areas of special education, student and personnel issues, and litigation. Mr. Aldridge has served as an Assistant Director of Special Education and principal of a special education alternative school and, prior to his law career, taught middle school special education. He currently teaches school law at the University of Illinois-Springfield and has held adjunct professorships at Western Illinois University and Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville in the Educational Administration Departments. A frequent presenter and author, Mr. Aldridge is published in many legal and educational journals, including a chapter in the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education's School Law Practice Handbook, entitled "Student Discipline and Hazing."
He received his B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Special Education from Northern Illinois University, a J.D. from Southern Illinois University, an Ed.S. in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University and holds the Superintendent endorsement for his administrative certificate. |
