STEPHANIE E. JONES practices in all areas of school law, including labor relations, litigation, and student issues. She serves on the No Child Left Behind Committee of the Illinois Council of School Attorneys and the Policy Advisory Committee of the Illinois Association of School Boards and is a frequent speaker on topics related to the No Child Left Behind Act and the new Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act.
Ms. Jones is co-author of the recent National School Boards Association publication "Understanding and Limiting Board Member Liability." She also co-authored Planning for a Terrorist Attack on Schools: Practical and Legal Considerations, an article in the NSBA publication Inquiry and Analysis.
Ms. Jones graduated from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas and received her law degree and a certificate in international and comparative law from St. Louis University School of Law. While in law school, she served as Chairperson of the National Moot Court Board and as a member of the St. Louis-Warsaw Transatlantic Law Journal. |
