VANESSA V. CLOHESSY represents local governmental entities including school districts, park districts and municipalities through all phases of civil litigation in judicial and administrative proceedings. Ms. Clohessy practices in all areas of the law but has focused her practice in the areas of labor and employment, civil rights, constitutional law, annexation and detachment and student discipline.
Ms. Clohessy is a frequent speaker on the topics of computer network and Internet safety/use in the schools and student discipline. She is an active member of the Lake County Juvenile Justice Council's School Safety Committee and a former member of the People for Elmhurst Parks. Prior to joining the firm in 1998, she practiced for seven years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois, representing the State, its agencies and employees.
Ms. Clohessy graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a B.A. in journalism and Spanish and received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Society. |
